Students from ideaSky, under the guidance of Professor Sheng-Hsiang Wang, have built the “2026 NIAG Venue Environmental Monitoring” system for the 2026 National Intercollegiate Athletic Games (NIAG). The system provides athletes and staff with real-time information on heat, wind gusts, air quality, and UV levels.

The students installed monitoring devices at venues including the taekwondo hall, the karate hall, and the track and field stadium. The platform combines on-site data such as temperature, humidity, PM2.5, and CO2 with public weather forecasts and radar images, and uses AI to give timely reminders on heat, rain, and air quality. Developed with industry partners Innodisk and AWAREK, the system runs entirely in a web browser, so no app download is needed.arch.
